The dowel contains an expanding sleeve 1 with slots forming petals on the inlet section, a screw 2 installed in the sleeve 1 and connected to the spacer body 3. The expansion body 3 is placed in the sleeve with the possibility of axial movement and contact with the inner surface of the sleeve. The spacer body 3 can be made in one piece with the screw 2 (FIG. 3) or screwed onto it along the thread 4 (FIGS. 1 and 2). The screw 2 is connected to the counter support, which can be made as screw-shaped
step 5 or in the form of a threaded rod element 6 with a threaded socket 7 for a screw 2 on the side of the annular support surface 8.

It is advisable to take the diameter of the spring ring 11 by 1–1.5 mm larger than the diameter of the drilled hole 15. For a hole diameter of about 12 mm, it is recommended to increase the diameter of the ring 11 by about 1 mm and for a larger hole diameter to 1.5 mm.
When the upset section 14 is made elongated (FIG. 2), the spring ring 11 is installed on this section. Such a ring requires a smaller wire diameter, so it can be made of wire with a rectangular cross section.
The dowel works as follows.
To fasten the object 16, the dowel is installed in a previously prepared drilled hole in the anchor base. When installing the dowel, the spring ring 11 is compressed to the diameter of the bore hole corresponding to at least the outer diameter of the expanding sleeve 1, which does not require additional efforts for driving. After the dowel is installed, the spring ring 11 is pressed tightly against the wall of the hole. By applying a torque to the head 17 through the washer 18, the spacer body 3 is drawn into the expanding sleeve 1. At the same time, the petals of the sleeve emerge radially into the wall of the hole 15. If, after fixing due to the formation of cracks, the hole expands, the spring ring 11 prevents the expansion sleeve 1 from moving. This forcefully tightens
the spacer body 3 into the expansion sleeve and, as a result, additional expansion of the sleeve 1 and alignment of the expansion of the hole.
The annular protrusion 13 centers the spring ring 11 and acts on it due to its shape so that the spring ring supports the expansion of the sleeve.
The application of the invention allows
increase the reliability of fastening by creating additional expansion of the sleeve.
